Robert Deutz meistens harmlos

... hier schreibe ich über Dinge, die mich freudig stimmen, über schönes, aber auch über das was mich nervt und aufregt, ich fordere hier Gerechtigkeit für alle bin aber nicht gerecht zu jedem, ich bin hemmungslos parteiisch und schwer von einer anderen Meinung zu überzeugen und oft bestimmt auch ratlos aber nicht sprachlos. Nur damit keiner sagen kann er hätte es nicht gewusst.

Joomla Module - Show by Vars

I have made a small module for Joomla! that helps me to show module text only of some specific pages. This module shows the text only, if the conditions they are set for the module all true. This gives you the ability to show a module on a site when you haven't a menu item for that page. But keep in mind that you have to set up the module to be shown on any page, if not then Joomla doesn't render the module at all.

e.g.
option = com_content
view = article
id = 4711:an-article-without-a-menu-entry

    Just create a menu entry in a hidden menu, e.g. change the module position to a non-existing one or hide the menu module.

      as I tweeted some components haven't the ability to make for any view/layout/... combination a menu item + using id in (2,3,6) makes live easier

    I use the Advanced Module Manager therefore. It even has a php-block where you can check the vars.
